The CVIAQ President’s Charity Dinner, in aid of the Leukaemia Foundation, has sold out in record time. In a Truck Show year, the lower key format with a limit of 200 guests, offers a very different approach to the traditional ‘Auction Night’ held so successfully over the past five years at the Brisbane City Hall.
To be held at Vinoe’s Restaurant & Bar, Eagle Street, Brisbane, on Saturday 24th March 2007 with a starting time of 6.15pm, the black tie evening with a fun casino evening highlight will have a definite James Bond - casino flavour.
CVIAQ President, Mrs Sharon O’Phee, announced that the evening, while supporting a very worthy cause, will be devoted to fun and enjoyment.
Country music singer, Gina Jefferies, will be the entertainment for the evening with Channel Nine newsreader, Bruce Paige, providing the MC duties. In keeping with the fun and enjoyment theme, formalities will start early and will be short.
In 2008, the CVIAQ President’s Charity Dinner will return to the Brisbane Hall in the larger format and in the new timeslot of March. |
