The CVIAQ Manufacturers Council met on the 6th November 2007 at the CVIAQ office in Darra. CVIAQ CEO, Mr Brett Wright, chaired the meeting and welcomed all members.

In light of the recently introduced ADRs 35/02, 38/03 and 62/02 the Council discussed revisions to the CVIAA submission on ADR 63 (Trailers designed for use in Road Trains) & ADR 64 (Heavy Goods Vehicles designed for use in Road Trains and B-Doubles) forwarded to DoTaRS back in November 2005.

Following discussion the council made a number of recommendations.

Mr Wright informed the Council that he would revise the submission and circulate to Council Members prior to sending to DoTaRS.

The Council also considered areas of VSB6 in need of review in preparation for a review by the CVIAA in 2008.

The meeting closed at 11.45am with the next meeting to be held on the 1st April 2008.
