Manufacturing Skills Queensland (MSQ) assists Queensland manufacturers to develop skilling strategies to ensure the global competitiveness of the State's manufacturing industry.

MSQ develops strong and sustainable linkages with industry, particularly employers, to encourage an industry-owned and driven skilling agenda to address the key skills development and formation challenges facing Queensland manufacturers.

MSQ has formed an Industry Consultative Group for the Automotive Manufacturing sector (Bus/Truck/Trailer), which plays a key role in advising on skills development and labour market issues to government, and to support the development of a skilled workforce for the Automotive Manufacturing industry. Senior Industry Advisor for Automotive Manufacturing, Gary Smiley, invites CVIAQ members from the automotive manufacturing sector to be part of the Industry Consultative Group.
