16/02/10  Exhibitors show strong support for the Big One's move to the BCEC

CVIAQ attracted an attendance of over fifty members and exhibitors to its Darra office on Tuesday 16th February to learn more about the show relocation to the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre (BCEC).

CVIAQ Board Directors and staff were on hand to talk face to face with participants about the reasons behind the show relocation. CVIAQ CEO, Mr Brett Wright, spoke to the gathering to promote the benefits of the venue which included total undercover and air conditioned display sites for exhibitors, world class facilities and proximity to major hotels, Southbank’s restaurant precinct and public transport.

There was a strong show of support from participants with many commenting that it was timely for the industry to step up to a higher standard of venue facility to house the show.

Many exhibitors were interested in space allocation and pricing. Mr Wright explained that CVIAQ is currently developing space allocation guidelines and pricing of sites that will be made available in the coming months. CVIAQ will be holding meetings at the BCEC for exhibitors to familiarise themselves with the venue. Invitations to these meetings will be sent to exhibitors with plenty of notice.
