CVIAQ is now formally recognised as a primary information source for vocational education and training by being one of four peak automotive industry organisations that have partnered together to form the Queensland Automotive Skills Alliance (QASA), an autonomous organisation that is charged with providing strategic information and advice to Government on the skill demand for the Automotive Industry (contact CVIAQ on
07 3376 6266 for a detailed QASA information flyer).
QASA’s mandate includes building partnerships with industry, employers and training providers to ensure that the best possible skilling and employment solutions for the Automotive Industry are developed and implemented.
To initiate this process, member contacts should receive a letter from QASA Executive Officer, Mr Troy Knox, requesting your assistance in providing QASA with industry information on training and employee skill issues. Accompanying the letter will be a survey form.
CVIAQ strongly recommend that all member contacts complete the survey form and return to QASA by the nominated deadline. This is your opportunity to contribute to identifying the shortfalls in training for our industry and to offer current industry perspectives that enable QASA to provide valid information to the state government. |
