The Brisbane Truck Show is held every two years and attracts in excess of 340 exhibitors and 36,000 attendees. Organised by the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ) since its inception in 1968 the Brisbane Truck Show provides the most successful medium to promote the industry’s latest vehicles, products and technology.
The Industry Career Centre at the Brisbane Truck Show brings together all stakeholders involved in the workforce development of the commercial vehicle industry. |

| Stakeholders that are represented include Australian Apprenticeship Centers, Group Training Organisations, Queensland Automotive Skills Alliance, Manufacturing Skills Queensland, SkillsTech and Skilling Solutions Queensland/DETA. |

| The Industry Career Centre provides information on how the apprentice system works including training delivery, training content, career opportunities and Government assistance. The Industry Careers Centre hosts a series of events including school tours that effectively engage with the community and promote the professionalism of the commercial vehicle industry and the opportunities that exist within the industry. |

| The Apprentice Challenge is a ‘hands on’ practical test where teams of apprentices challenge teams of high profile contestants including industry members and personalities that started out in a mechanical trade. The aim of this event is to promote the possible career paths that can be achieved from an apprenticeship entry point into the heavy commercial vehicle industry. |
